Dextiny is a Licensed Psychological Associate who is passionate about working with adolescents and adults as they navigate life challenges and transitions. She provides support for individualsexperiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, substance use, grief, and other stressors that can impact overall well-being. Her approach is compassionate, collaborative,and strengths-based, with a focus on helping clients feel understood, supported, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. Dextiny has experience providing counseling and psychological evaluation services for adolescents and adults navigating a variety of emotional, behavioral, and adjustment-related concerns. She draws from evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based Interventions, to meet each client's unique needs and goals. She believes that therapy is not about fixing people, but about creating space for growth, healing, and self-discovery.
Dextiny earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from North Carolina Central University. She is committed to helping clients recognize their strengths, build resilience, and create lives that feel meaningful and fulfilling to them.
